These are the agreements under which data is managed and shared.
Custodianship Deed of Agreement
This is a comprehensive agreement between the Department of Sustainability and Environment and a private company, local government, non government agency or utility. It lays out the obligations of both parties, disclaimers and covers copyright and liability. The agreement term is ongoing but contains termination clauses.
Each dataset and approved user categories are described in a schedule and additional schedules can be added later under the same agreement.
Interdepartmental Custodianship Agreement
This is an umbrella agreement between the Department of Sustainability and Environment and other State Government Departments. The term is two years and documents the general responsibilities of the Custodian with regard to collection, update and distribution of datasets. Each dataset is described in a schedule and additional schedules can be added later under the same agreement.
