Custodianship of spatial information is the act of ensuring appropriate care in the collection, storage and maintenance of the information.

The Victorian Spatial Council is implementing the Custodianship Program to promote the principles of custodianship and increase the number of datasets being managed under formal custodianship arrangements. The first series of Fact Sheets and FAQs have been developed. These Web Pages will be further developed in the near future to provide further information and guidance.
